What is a Registered Dietitian and how is that different from a nutritionist?

An RDN is a healthcare professional who has completed related coursework (usually bachelor's and master's degree) and been credentialed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This is different from a nutritionist, as RDN's must comply with federal regulations, be licensed at the state level, and adhere to a code of ethics. RDN's use evidence-based recommendations backed by scientific research and have completed years of schooling to understand the human body, digestion, and metabolism of nutrients.

Will my health insurance cover registered dietitian-nutritionist services?

I am not affiliated with any insurance providers; however, I can provide you with an invoice (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement

How long does it take?

The course of your integrative and functional therapy depends how deep you want to go. It took a long time to find yourself here, so change to optimal body function doesn't happen overnight! Remember, we are restoring optimal function on the cellular level, and implementing changes to diet and lifestyle according to your goals. Commitment to wellness is a journey.

Where is your office located?

My practice is 100% virtual, and all of our meetings take place using a HIPPA secure virtual platform.

What do you offer that I cannot do myself?

I understand it seems like we can just search the internet or support groups to find a solution without making an investment. But, haven’t you tried this strategy already? How did that work out?

I offer answers to those contradicting recommendations (fiber or no fiber?), I provide accountability (this time you WILL succeed!), and I base the program on your body. What works for one person does not work for another. If it did, your physician would have given you the secret sauce years ago! I use my 15 years of culinary training, master’s degree in nutrition, and training as a board-certified dietitian-nutritionist (not to mention my own experience as a patient!) to provide you with a personalized, foolproof plan so you are set to succeed for a lifetime.
